*Monosexual: term for straight and gay people, who are only attracted to one sex/gender expression.

Much like sexuality, polyamory can be discovered, or repressed by social norms despite being part of someone’s nature. Just the same, it is not for everyone. Monosexual people should not have to try the physical sex they aren’t into to be believed any more than asexual people should have to try sex acts to be believed. And, in the same vein, polyamorists shouldn’t be asked to justify nonmonogamy by trying monogamy. Many of us already have! We simply didn’t find it fulfilling - but just because we didn’t doesn’t mean you don’t, won’t, or shouldn’t! Mono, poly, and every other shade of ethical monogamy and nonmonogamy can exist together.
